This course is for working virtual assistants who handle a client’s documents in Google Drive and need to keep them tidy, findable and correctly shared. It follows a hands-on Google Drive walkthrough aimed specifically at VAs, so everything you learn is something you will do on a normal working day.

You will cover opening Drive, creating new Google files, uploading files from your computer, naming and renaming, building a folder structure and moving files into it, starring files and adding shortcuts, searching with filters, sharing folders and files by link or email with the right permission level, and what the source says about transferring file ownership.

By the end you will be able to set up and maintain a clean Drive for a client, upload and file documents without leaving loose files on the home screen, find any file in seconds, and share it with exactly the level of access the client asked for.

Content review due: September 2027. This course covers tools or features that change over time (The course depends on Google Drive’s current menu names, the Organise > Move and Add shortcut paths, keyboard shortcuts and sharing panel layout, all of which Google changes from time to time). Check it still matches the current product before renewing it.
